2026 Town & Gown Gala + Community Concert

The Town & Gown Community Celebration is back! The 2026 celebration will feature a gala showcasing Texas A&M Engineering plus a community concert with performances by Deep Blue Something. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 16th for the gala/concert evening package and community concert-only tickets.

ABOUT DEEP BLUE SOMETHING

Deep Blue Something is an American alternative rock band formed in Denton, Texas in 1993.The band is composed of Todd Pipes (vocals and bass), his brother Toby Pipes (vocals and lead guitar), Kirk Tatom (guitar and backing vocals), Clay Bergus (guitar and backing vocals), and John Kirtland (drums).

The band is perhaps best known for their hit single “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” which reached the top 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a global hit in 1995, culminating with a U.K. #1 in 1996. The band’s music encompasses a range of styles, including dream pop, alternative rock, pop, and post-grunge.

The band has just wrapped up a new double-live album entitled Deep Blue Something: Live which will be released in the Spring of 2026. Over 500 million streams on Spotify alone stands as a testament to Deep Blue Something’s enduring appeal of their distinctive sound and style.
